Banchero's Italian Dinners was established in 1948 by John Banchero Sr. along with his partner Jack O'Connor. John Banchero Sr. began his dream of opening a family styled restaurant in Hayward , California . John Sr. opened Banchero's Italian Dinners to offer a good home styled, fairly priced, family dinner establishment. |
 We offer a fine assortment of California and Italian wines based on fine quality for a great value. Our moderately priced wines from California Vineyards include: Beaulieu Vineyards, Robert Mondavi, Smoking Loon, and Sterling just to name a few. Our Italian wines include: Fontana Candida, Gabbiano, and Villa Banfi. We proudly serve California Cellars and Salmon Creek for our generic and varietal house wines.

 Early Bird Special Dinners are now offered Tuesday thru Friday 4-6 pm for those folks who want to enjoy a smaller version of our full family dinners. These dinners include choice of soup or salad, entrée with potatoes (fries) and vegetable, dessert, and choice of hot coffee or hot tea. Our Early Bird Dinners start at $9.25. Also offered with the Early Bird Dinners are our Early Bird House Wine Specials. The Early Bird House Wine Specials are offered at the same time as the Early Bird Dinner Specials. |
 We like to feature different specials on our menu from time to time. Often times fresh fish varies daily upon availability. Other dishes rotate in and out of our menu depending on the season. It is best to call ahead and check for our selections whether it is for take-out or dinning in with us. The early bird wine specials are: house blush, burgundy, and chablis priced at half carafe $4.95 and full carafe is $7.95. House wine Early Bird Specials by the glass is $3.25. |
